Dash follows up last Spring's production of Little Women at Opera in the Heights with Mozart's final masterpiece, Die Zauberflöte, or The Magic Flute. This production takes inspiration from contemporary life to create a fantastical world modeled off of our troubled times. Mozart's theme of how to create a great society in the midst of fear and oppression is central, as are questions of gender politics.
